Loved the shrimp tacos and slaw with the sides Good sports bar with choice of foods. Lots of beer and wine choices

I was pleasantly surprised by the food here! We ordered two appetizers--the spinach dip and fried pickles. The fried pickles could have used a bit more batter, but they were decent, while the spinach dip was fantastic. For my main, I had the chicken and sausage gumbo, which was perfect: just the right amount of spice, plenty of meat, and a good balance of rice. It's a great spot to catch a game with plenty of TVs, and the bartenders were as sweet as pie. Plus, the place was clean and well-kept.

This Walk-Ons has always had the best service when we dine there. The food is always great quality and served hot and leaves you full. The ambiance is cool laidback sports bar atmosphere with TVs to watch all the sporting events throughout the day. A big bar with a nice selection of beers on draft too. The hickory burger is very good!

We went to Walk On's for dinner with some friends on Sunday night. Even though the parking lot was packed, we were still able to get seated immediately. We ordered the chicken avocado club and shrimp poboy, so it was pretty disappointing when they brought out the boom boom shrimp poboy. I did mention to the waiter that the order was wrong but he didn't really seem to care so we decided not to make a big fuss. He did apologize though. Despite getting the wrong meal, it was good. It wasn't what we had ordered so it took a little getting used to. Thankfully, it wasn't too spicy and they didn't skimp on the shrimp. The chicken avocado club was great! I decided to sub the whole wheat bread for the brioche bun and it was a great choice. The sandwich is a great sized portion. I would definitely order it again. Overall, the food was good but service could have been a touch better. I think our waiter may have been new so we didn't let that affect our experience.

We came here for a friend's birthday on a Friday afternoon. The service and food were good. I wasn't that hungry so I just had the alligator appetizer. It was plenty! Others had catfish poboy and chicken fingers. They seem to have enjoyed their selection. Our food came out really fast! This was my first time at the Trussville location. It's a little loud but not awfully loud. I think the next time I come , I'll checkout the patio. Looks very appealing!

If you like cajun American food this is your place....and I do like it! We have been several times and have never been disappointed in the least. We decided to come early and take advantage of their fabulous happy hour...wife and I shared sliders, loaded fries and boudin balls! Way more than enough food and fantastic quality!!

Hidden gem. I did not imagine I would like a sports bar this much. First we got waffle fries with bbq pork. They were very flavorful and they came with a slightly sweet sauce that was nice. The mozzarella logs were HUGE. The tomato dipping sauce was very good too. Boom boom shrimp tacos were great. The slaw that were on the tacos was very enjoyable. Overall, everything was good. It's hard to pick a favorite. Our server was very nice, helpful, and friendly. Our food came out fast. We will be coming back for happy hour. I think she said M-F 2-5pm for drinks and $5 apps. They have a small game room for kids also. Lots of tvs.

Came here with some friends for a celebration and we really enjoyed the food and the atmosphere. They have a ton of TVs - great for watching some March Madness or during football season. They stay pretty busy, but the staff did a good job of checking on us frequently. The inside of the restaurant is bigger than you would think, but you may have to wait, depending on if there is a big sporting event going on / how busy they are! We tried the Boudin Balls for an appetizer. They were really good, and had just the right amount of heat. I would definitely get these again. For my meal, I got an order of wings and some fries. The wings I got split in two flavors, both of which were decent, but nothing amazing. The fries were good. I'm sure we'll come here again, and I look forward to trying more of their menu!

I'm so glad we finally have a Walk-On in the heart of Trussville. Me and my boyfriend decided to eat here for our anniversary. The place is quite bigger on the inside compared to the outside of the restaurant. We started off with fried alligator as an appetizer and they are truly delicious. We enjoyed the sauce on the side which had a slight hint of heat. The alligator also had a kick which works well with both combination. I ordered the Louisiana Platter as my main course and he had the Ragin' Redfish. Both entrees were awesome and I truly enjoyed the jumbo shrimp and the fried catfish. Our waitress was awesome and I appreciate that there isn't a wait for your food because as we were still eating the fried alligator, our entrees came out. Would definitely recommend this place for awesome seafood.

Four stars for the sports bar ambiance and the insane number of TVs. Not sure Trussville has any other sports bara, so good for them! I would come back for a game if someone offered to buy me a $10 beer. Otherwise, I would not go out of my way to be here. Three (really only 3) stars for mediocre bar food. If I got the redfish tacos again, I'd get the sauce on the side. It had a very heavy mayonnaise flavor that took away from the fish and mango salsa. The fried, flour tortilla chips were delicious, but the side of cheese dip was so sad. It was served in a plastic cup, so lukewarm by the time it got to me and cold in no-time. Plus, I prefer white, alas it was yellow and had obviously been overheated at some point. Just say "No" to the cheese dip. I might also come back to try the Cajun cuisine. Service was great. They were slow.
